We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, conscientious and self motivated person to play a key role in helping maintaining our school site as part of our cleaning staff, to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community. You will be required to carry out a range of duties relating to the cleaning and housekeeping of our Academy based in Epsom, Surrey.
The role is part time, term time only with 2 additional weeks required out of term as discussed and agreed with the Site Supervisor. Hours of work are15-20 hours per week Monday to Friday, between 3.30/4pm - 6.30/7pm. Previous experience of working in a cleaner role is desirable but not essential. Duties will include;
- Vacuuming hard and soft floors;
- Spot cleaning
- Wiping furniture ledges, pipes, paintwork and doors;
- Emptying and cleaning bins;
- Cleaning toilets including sanitary fittings and surrounds;
- Mopping, and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces;
- Wiping, polishing and straightening furniture;
- Replenishing janitorial supplies in toilets etc.;
- Checking and closing windows, switching off lights at end of shifts;
- Such other tasks as allocated from time to time.
Please note that duties may include working in all types of rooms, including offices, classrooms, laboratories, corridors, and toilets. During the periods when the school is closed, routine cleaning is undertaken throughout the school.
