Ashville Trading Ltd is seeking to appoint an Event Co-Ordinator to join the trading company within Ashville College.

The role is 40 hours per week, including weekends, evenings and public holidays if required. There will be a need to work outside of your normal working hours during busy periods.

The job holder will coordinate and manage the College facilities’ external lettings and College events. They will implement a marketing plan to generate an ongoing stream of bookings and, to maximise income for the organisation.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational, inter-personal and communication skills, as well as the ability to multi-task. The position requires an ability to prioritise and work to strict deadlines with a minimum of supervision, whilst paying close attention to detail.

We are seeking someone who has a professional approach to work, with diplomacy and tact. They will be enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated, and able to work calmly under pressure. Events experience would be preferred.

Ashville College is a co-educational, independent school for day and boarding pupils aged 2–18. The college, set in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, comprises a pre-school, prep school and senior school with pupil numbers totaling around 870, 170 of whom are in the sixth form and 100 are boarders. The school is a registered charity, administered by Ashville College Trustees.

Ashville College was founded in 1877 as a boarding school for boys by the United Methodist Free Church. Expansion over the decades culminated in a merger with Elmfield College, Harrogate, in the 1930s, by which time Ashville was the largest private school in the north of England.   The most significant development came in 1982 when the school become co-educational.
