Job Title: Event Management and Communication Coordinator

Location: St John Plessington Catholic College - the successful postholder will be required on occasion to travel between sites across the Trust

Responsible To: Director of Improvement and Development

Salary Grade: Band H, Scale Point 25-28 £29,081-£31,536 (actual)

Contract: This is a full-time, permanent contract. This post is 36 hours per week, 41 weeks per year (term time plus three weeks).

The governing body of Holy Family Catholic Multi Academy Trust would like to invite applications from excellent, enthusiastic and engaging individuals for the post of Events Management and Communications Coordinator. The successful candidate will; maintain regular ongoing communications activity and to coordinate, deliver and promote a programme of events and activities that engage stakeholders with the mission, vision and strategy of HFCMAT, lead and develop communications strategy for the Trust and develop and implement the wider marketing strategy for the Trust.


Key responsibilities

Events 

  • Supporting the planning, scheduling and coordination of PLD and meetings, including costing and setting up new courses and projects as required, and reviewing and improving as appropriate.
  • Foster strong working relationships with event partners and participants. 
  • Attend cross-departmental meetings, working groups and briefings that affect the delivery of events. 
  • Plan, coordinate and manage the effective practical delivery of key specific events.
  • To establish / maintain regular ongoing communications activities.
  • To co-ordinate, deliver and promote a programme of events and activities that engage stakeholders with the mission, vision and strategy of HFCMAT.


Communication 

  • To lead and develop communications strategy.
  • Have oversight of the communications and events calendar and, with support from the Marketing and Website Officer, ensure the effective delivery of managing the HFCMAT website, managing HFCMAT social media platforms and updating content on the HFCMAT website and social media platforms;
  • Creating promotional literature and managing the promotion of courses/conferences /events. 
  • Publicising events and the work of HFCMAT through appropriate media including educational forums and social media platforms. 


Public Relations 

  • Consider and develop the positioning, profile, and key messages of HFCMAT.
  • Devise and deliver press campaigns, in liaison with key staff ensuring impactful coverage across a range of media. 
  • Work with the Trust Exec team to deliver the marketing strategy set out in the plan.
  • To Promote the Trust in a positive manner to the wider community.


General 

  • To assist and support the DOID to ensure all HFCMAT strategic objectives are met.
  • Supporting financial procedures such as invoicing and budgets for events.
  • To secure external funding to support the work of HFCMAT.
  • To raise the profile of the Trust within the community and wider areas.
  • To develop and implement the wider marketing strategy for the Trust.
