Grade 1 - £9.36 per hour – required ASAP
Would you like to play a key role in upholding the integrity of the examination/assessment process within a high-achieving comprehensive school?
Due to larger numbers of students taking exams, Norton Hill School is looking to recruit additional Exam Invigilators to support our student examinations at the School for both mock and public exams. Duties would include preparing the rooms, distribution of scripts and supervision of students during examinations. Some invigilators may be required to undertake the support of students with their Exam Access Arrangements and will therefore be required to act as a reader or scribe. Experience is not required, as full training will be given.
Number of days and hours worked will vary dependant on demand and season, and you do not need to commit to working for every season. The peak season is May to June when students take their public exams. The school will also require invigilators for exam series in November/December (Year 11 mocks), January (year 12 Mocks and public exams), March (Year 11 test week) and April (Year 13 mocks).
We are looking for candidates who:
● Can be flexible
● Have effective communication skills
● Can be a confident and reassuring presence to students in exam rooms.
All successful applicants will need to undertake an enhanced disclosure and barring service check and children and adults barred list checks. They will also need to undergo a Child Protection and Safeguarding training before starting their post.
Norton Hill School is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, including disabled, and black and ethnic minority applicants.
