Values and vision

The ethos of the college is primarily based around the notion of self-discipline, with students being given the freedom and flexibility to study on their own terms, with access to additional support should they require it.

Students have significant input into the way the college is run, with the student council playing a part in decision-making. Havering Sixth Form College aims to properly prepare its young people for higher education or the world of work, with extensive opportunities for students to receive advice about how best to enter their chosen career.

Ofsted report

"Students have a very positive attitude to learning, work well together and independently, and produce work of a high standard. Pre-course information, advice and guidance, and a strong collaboration with other education providers, ensure students are placed on the courses to which they are most suited, resulting in high retention and positive progression."
