some flexibility of actual working hours may be required at short notice during busy periods

Providing essential support to the Examinations and Data Manager, prospective candidates should be well organised, have strong communication and interpersonal skills and experience of supervising children.

We are looking to appoint experienced and enthusiastic candidates to supervise examinations and to ensure that guidelines and regulations for the integrity and security of the examination papers and procedures are followed during examination sessions. 

Whilst experience is preferred, full training will be provided for successful candidates.  The role is ad-hoc, however hours will be agreed with successful candidates in advance and there will be an opportunity to work regularly during the school’s usual examination periods.

About The Thomas Aveling School

The Thomas Aveling School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in Rochester, Kent. It is an academy converter supported by a multi-academy trust called Fort Pitt Thomas Aveling Academies Trust, which supports four other schools around the country. The school will provide 1,080 places for secondary and sixth-form students between the ages of 11 and 18 when fully subscribed.

Previously a Technology College and Training School, Thomas Aveling converted to an academy in September 2011.
