Mount House School is seeking reliable and professional Exam Invigilators to join our team during examination periods. This is a flexible, casual role ideal for individuals looking to support a school environment during GCSE and internal examination sessions.

The Role

As an Exam Invigilator, you will support the Exams Officer in ensuring examinations run smoothly and in accordance with exam regulations.

 

Key responsibilities include:

Before Exams

  • Preparing examination rooms and materials

  • Admitting and seating candidates

  • Distributing exam papers and reading instructions

During Exams

  • Supervising students and maintaining exam conditions

  • Ensuring exam regulations are followed

  • Recording attendance and reporting any issues

After Exams

  • Collecting and checking exam scripts

  • Dismissing students in an orderly manner

  • Returning materials securely to the Exams Officer

 

Working Hours

  • Casual role during examination periods (primarily May and June)

  • Morning sessions typically start 8:00am

  • Afternoon sessions typically start 1:00pm

  • Additional opportunities may be available during mock exam periods

 

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

 

  • Reliable, punctual and organised

  • Calm and professional in a formal exam setting

  • Confident communicating with students and staff

  • Able to follow procedures and regulations carefully

  • Available during peak examination periods

 

Previous invigilation experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.
