Examination Invigilators

We are seeking to appoint a number of examination invigilators to join our existing team. Successful applicants will be expected to follow the regulations set out by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) in carrying out the following key tasks: 

· Supervision of students sitting formal examinations. 

· Administration pertaining to formal examinations.

Previous experience of a school setting or formal examination processes would be desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided to successful applicants. 

Examinations take place at key points in the academic year, particularly in May-June with others taking place in December, January, February and March. Therefore, the ability to work flexibly is essential. We would also expect that candidates are available to work throughout May and June. 

Cardinal Hume Catholic School was graded ‘Outstanding’ in 2008 and 2014.  We spearhead the Trinity North East Multi-Academy Trust and Teaching Alliance. Thus, there are a number exciting opportunities for CPD and collaborative work across a number of schools.

Cardinal Hume Catholic School is a mixed, non-selective, Roman Catholic academy with sixth form in Tyne and Wear, serving students from the age of 11 up to 18. The school, situated in Gateshead, has over 1500 students on roll. It belongs to the Hexham and Newcastle Diocese and is part of the Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust. The school was identified as Outstanding by Ofsted in 2014 and by the Hexham and Newcastle Diocese in 2019.
