Job overview

Examination Invigilators

£15.26 per hour (inclusive of rolled up holiday pay)

"Pupils are proud of the diversity represented within their school. They animatedly described ‘the power of you’ days where they celebrate each other’s cultures and faiths. Pupils said that everyone is free to be themselves. This creates a sense of belonging which helps pupils to feel happy in school. Polite and respectful interactions between pupils and adults are the norm. Pupils embrace opportunities to make changes for the benefit of others. Pupils appreciate the care that staff have taken to ensure that the diversity of the school community is reflected in the school’s high-quality curriculum. The school has high expectations of pupils’ achievement. Most pupils achieve well. Staff are overwhelmingly proud to work at the school.'" Ofsted 2024

The Board of Governors is looking to appoint a bank of invigilators to support students during both internal and external exams.

Exams are taken at various times during the academic year therefore a high level of flexibility is required.  There are no guaranteed hours, you will be required to work on an ad hoc basis.

As an invigilator you will be responsible for maintaining the security of the question papers at all times and conducting examinations in accordance with examination board regulations.

If you possess excellent organisational and communication skills (written and verbal) and enjoy working with young people, then this is the role for you.

Previous experience of working in a school or with young people is desirable.
