Job overview

Term time only plus 10 days

Do you wish to join an aspirational, collaborative and connected school which is improving the life chances of all pupils? Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation? If, like us, you share a belief in the highest standards of academic attainment in a comprehensive setting, we’d like to hear from you.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and capable graduate, ideally with equivalent experience in a secondary school, to carry out the role of Examinations Administrator. You will carry out a variety of tasks including liaising with staff, invigilators and exam boards.

To be successful, you will need excellent record keeping with meticulous attention to detail. You will need to employ a professional attitude whilst having an approachable manner delivered with good humour. The ability to be flexible and manage a variety of tasks whilst meeting deadlines is essential.

This is a term time only position, plus an additional 10 days that will need to be worked as determined by the Data Manager, based around the exam timetable, and you will need to be flexible with your working days at busy periods.

Westminster City School is a successful 11-18 Christian non-denominational comprehensive academy for boys with a mixed sixth form. Ours is a lively and vibrant learning community situated in the heart of central London with all the opportunities and advantages of an inner-city school. We are at an exciting time in our school development.

We believe in developing our staff and have a dynamic and supportive management team. We also spend much of our time looking at what we can learn from other successful schools.

The school was judged as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in early 2013 with its curriculum and governance judged to be ‘Outstanding’. In 2017, Ofsted judged the school as continuing to be ‘Good’. We are not complacent and are proactive in our ambition to become recognised as an ‘Outstanding’ school and standards have improved considerably since that judgement.

"You are ambitious for the pupils at the school. You are proud of their achievements and strive to ensure they do the best they can."

“Leaders have designed the curriculum to meet the needs of pupils of all abilities. The most able pupils sit GCSE examinations early and, if they meet their target early, can start A Level courses in Year 11.”

- Ofsted 2017
