Job overview

This is an excellent opportunity to be Examination and Data Manager at our growing, welcoming all-through school in Birmingham and to be part of our mission.

This is a new post; we currently have students up to Y10 so our first GCSEs will be next summer(2019)

The salary is based on 36.5 hours per week on an all-year round contract. This is likely to be achieved by working longer hours during term time enabling you to have much of the school holidays out of school but we are flexible and will agree working hours with the successful candidate. We would also consider a part-time role for an outstanding candidate

We are ideally looking for someone with secondary experience in a related field who is confident in use of SIMS and has the necessary skills to:

- maintain and manage the student database to provide statistical and management performance information

- create and maintain the internal and external examination timetable and oversee all exam related matters

- carry out the other tasks identified on the job description.

Of these the most urgent need is for the examinations side of the role.

Primary pupils are now full at around 1400 and secondary students around 660 covering Year 7 to Year 10 - ultimately 900 in 2019.

Our secondary section began in 2014 and is accommodated in an attractive new building with excellent facilities. As the school continues to expand we wish to appoint a dedicated colleague who will contribute to the success of the school. All staff need to buy in to the moral purpose of our school.

Application Process

The closing date is Thursday 1 February at 12 noon. Applications through the TES portal or to the email address g.hudson@starbank.bham.sch.uk
