Haileybury is an outstanding British independent co-educational boarding school, offering modern boarding and day provision for 875 boys and girls aged 11-18.  Established in 1862, we are situated on a glorious and historic 500-acre campus in Hertfordshire, just 20 miles north of London.

The Examinations Manager is an important and significant role in the academic area of the school and the post holder will have primary responsibility of ensuring the smooth running of all A-Level and GCSE examinations, including compliance with all regulations laid down by the awarding bodies. They will also be required to support the administration of the IB programme as required.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role with a track record of delivering. They will be able to communicate effectively with a variety of people, work well under pressure and meet deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.

The post holder will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, during term-time in addition to four additional weeks outside of term. The nature of a 24hr a day, 7 days per week boarding school requires staff to work flexibly and there may be a requirement for the jobholder to work reasonable additional hours and early mornings, evenings and weekends.

We are academically selective and we expect our pupils to achieve excellent results in public examinations. Most of our pupils take up places at the best universities in the UK and around the world. In addition to providing intellectual rigour and challenge, we provide a holistic education that balances academic achievement with the development of character, resilience and leadership. All of our boys and girls are strongly encouraged to take full advantage of the widest range of co-curricular activities on offer at Haileybury. Participation in these activities stretches the pupils; it promotes a sense of social responsibility, enhances team spirit and engenders confidence.

The bedrock of a Haileybury education is outstanding pastoral care. A nurturing environment and spiritual encouragement underpin all of our endeavours and help shape the distinctive characteristics of Haileyburians.

Our goal is for our young men and women to leave Haileybury fully equipped with the life skills and the academic credentials necessary for them to flourish in a competitive global employment market.
