This is a post working within the MIS & Examinations section of the Information and Enterprise directorate. The section is a very busy work environment requiring a hands- on management style. The section conducts examinations/assessments throughout the year, taking place both in the day and evening. The MIS & Examinations section works closely with the Enrolment Centres, all of which share the same Management Information System and act as business support to all Curriculum School areas across the College and also the Business Centre which delivers apprenticeship and full cost programmes.

The post-holder will be responsible for the management of the MIS & Exams Administrators and MIS & Exams Apprentice based at the Booth Lane. The post-holder will be responsible for the day to day organising and running of examinations and assessments at Booth Lane, Lower Mounts and Daventry centres to meet the needs of all College students including appretices. The post-holder is also responsible for the management of timely and accurate administration of examinations, registration, results and assessment data processing.

Northampton College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college situated in Northamptonshire. It is a 16-plus institution with three campuses: a major building at its main Northampton site, a smaller campus near the town centre and another 20 miles away in Daventry. It provides places for around 9,000 students aged 16 and over, most of whom are full-time and aged 16-18.

Northampton College was opened in 1973. It merged with Daventry Tertiary College to expand its Daventry campus in August 2004, and its Booth Lane campus reopened after a large redevelopment in 2012.
