Salary: UCL Academy Pay Scale 5, SP 12-15 (£26,544-£28,003), pro rata to £24,587.68 - £25,939.15 term time only + 3 weeks

Contract Type: Term time only + 3 weeks, Permanent following successful probation

We seek a passionate individual to join our Administration Team and support our drive toward outstanding practice for our young people. Proudly rated Good by Ofsted in all 4 categories in June 2016, The UCL Academy is a mixed 11-19 Academy that opened its doors in the heart of the London Borough of Camden in 2012.  We offer iconic state-of-the-art facilities, training and development opportunities and the chance to work with the latest innovations in classroom technology. 

As the Academy’s Examinations Officer, you will be overseeing all aspects of examinations management within the school, in consultation with the MIS Manager. You will be responsible for the smooth running of internal and external examinations, ensuring JCQ compliance at all times, and will assist with the process for pupil reports.

The successful candidate must have excellent communication, interpersonal and IT skills a long with a ‘can-do’ attitude. The candidate will need to be highly organised and have the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, showing initiative and acting proactively when required. You should be able to deal sensitively with a variety of situations with staff, examination invigilators, pupils, parents and examination boards. Experience working in a school environment is essential. What we Want

• Have experience of working in a school office environment, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office / Google Workspace and experience of using SIMs or similar software;

• Excellent written and verbal communication, having the ability to communicate on a different range of levels;

• Be able to work under pressure and deal with sensitive student matters;

• Have passion and a belief in the potential of every pupil.
