Enabling the smooth running of examinations ensures that our young people are given the best experience and support possible. The Examinations Officer at St Andrew’s is a critical role in ensuring our young people achieve their potential, and have opportunities opened to them.
This is also true for any cover requirements, and therefore the importance of the Cover Manager role. Ensuring any cover is of high quality, and places learning at its core, means that our students experience consistency and care every lesson of every day.
What we offer:
- A community that works together to embody our vision, values and ethos
- An opportunity to be part of a growing community, having real and tangible input into any system reviews
- CPD being a priority
- Amazing students, who are committed to doing their best and achieving their potential
What we are looking for:
- A highly organised and methodically minded individual, who focuses on the details within processes and procedures whilst simultaneously understanding the ‘bigger picture’
- Someone who will do whatever is takes to ensure students are not hindered or limited, and their life opportunities are maximised in any way possible
- Someone who is totally aligned with our values and ethos
St Andrew’s is a community school that has love at its core. You see it in the relationships between staff and students; both in the classrooms and the corridors; and in the excellent pastoral care that every student is given. I have heard many describe being part of our school community as being like ‘family’; both giving and receiving unrelenting love. Our core Christian values run through all that we do, both in daily life and in strategic development.
We have the highest expectations and aspirations for all members of our community, and accept nothing less than an individual’s best. We recognise that we are all unique, with unique training and developmental needs – and we aim to give every staff member the best CPD to enable them to reach their career goals, no matter what that goal may be.
We believe that the development of our staff is fundamental to building and maintaining a progressive and innovative school. A staff cohort that are life long learners and have high expectations for themselves promotes this same aspirant culture within the students.
Staff are the most valuable resource within a school, and therefore ensuring that they are well supported and valued can only have positive effects on student learning and experiences.
It truly is an exciting time to join St Andrew’s. With considerable change afoot, there is so much impact to be made as the school goes from strength to strength.

St Andrew’s is a community school that has love at its core. You see it in the relationships between staff and students; both in the classrooms and the corridors; and in the excellent pastoral care that every student is given. Students and staff alike have described being part of our school community as being like ‘family’; both giving and receiving unrelenting love.
Our curriculum is broad and balanced, and enables all students to develop a love of learning alongside focusing on their academic rigour. As we continue to grow, our enrichment offer grows with us – learning does not happen only within a classroom, and our extra-curricular offer continues to develop to reflect this.
We are driven to achieving excellence in all areas, with a keen focus on the narrative journey of the curriculum. We firmly believe that every child can achieve excellence, and that every child has the right to an excellent education.
St Andrew’s is a community that continually seeks to improve, and therefore embraces change and new ideas. There is so much impact to be made within our community, and we work hard to put them, our students, first in all that we do.
