Job overview

In September 2015 we opened our brand new secondary section, making Whitefriars a fully integrated 3 to 19 through school. With our new state-of-the-art building and experienced and well-qualified staff, we are now offering our first Key Stage 3 and GCSE students the best possible start to their secondary education.

In May 2018 our school was judged by OFSTED to be outstanding.

In September 2020 we will open our sixth form.

Our students make rapid progress in an environment of love and care without bells. Our school is a strong family where expectations are high, values are positive, forgiveness is abundant and children are treasured. We believe that anyone can learn anything and the growth mindset underpins everything we do.

We are looking for a reliable and responsible exams officer, with excellent attention to detail, to join our growing team at Whitefriars School. The ideal applicant will be well informed about current exam processes and procedures. You will be liaising with various exam boards for both GCSE and A level exams and will play a crucial role in the administration of our exams, establishing sound processes and procedures as our all through school approaches its first set of secondary level examinations in the academic year 2019/20.

You will ensure efficient and effective arrangements for internal and external exams at Whitefriars School, making sure that we meet the requirements of examinations boards and our candidates.

You will be flexible, have excellent communication, interpersonal, data analysis and ICT skills and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Experience is preferred but training is available for the right candidate.

Whitefriars School is a fully integrated 3 to 18 all-through school. Our pupils make rapid progress and achieve academic excellence in an environment of love and care. Our school is a strong family where expectations are high, values are positive and children are treasured. Our goal is to equip our pupils with the knowledge, skills and character to achieve top grades at GCSE and A level and to lead successful lives.

We believe that anyone can learn anything and the growth mind-set underpins everything we do. We do not believe that some pupils are bright and that others are not. We believe in the limitless capacity for everyone to achieve great things. We believe that what we become and what we achieve comes from great teaching, hard work and fantastic support.

We provide pupils with a curriculum of the highest quality. We have new state-of-the art buildings with a wide range of extensive facilities. Our pedagogical approach is rooted in the science of how children learn. We ask lots of questions, we explain in small steps, we link to prior learning and we guide first practice. Our pupils think hard about their learning.  Our home learning system is very well organised. We read a lot because it has a profound impact on educational outcomes.

Our teachers get to know the pupils as individuals and build meaningful relationships that last. We ensure that all of our pupils feel they belong. We explicitly teach our pupils to live by positive shared values and to hold these deep in their hearts. We are a Rights Respecting Gold accredited school. We offer a wide range of innovative clubs.

In May 2018 OFSTED graded our school as outstanding.

In September 2021 we opened our brand new sixth form.
