Role Purpose:


The purpose of this role is to ensure the effective organisation and co-ordination all examinations within the academy and ensure effective day to day cover arrangements are in place for absent colleagues


Key responsibilities:


You will experience the full breadth of what an Exam Officer has to offer, here is just a tiny example to whet your appetite:


• To manage, operate, maintain and develop all procedures in relation to external and internal examinations as specified in the agreed Examinations Procedure.


• Liaise with SLT, Learning Leaders, Buildings Officer, exam boards and other parties in all examination related matters. Deal directly with students over problems concerning entries


.• Production and distribution of examination timetables. • Ensure entries and amendments are entered into the information management system and communicated to relevant boards.


• Ensure that clashes, transfers, changes to times etc. are efficiently administered.


• Day to day preparation of examination rooms. 

 

Pay range: NJC 14-20 Pro Rata

The Parker E-ACT Academy is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form, situated in Daventry, Northamptonshire. There are approximately 1200 pupils at the school, between the ages of 11-19.

Formerly William Parker School, The Parker E-ACT Academy converted to academy status in 2012.

The Parker E-ACT Academy wants to provide a supportive environment for pupils to learn in and achieve their full potential, both in and out of the classroom. It wishes for students to grow into caring and considerate young adults, with respect for themselves and each other. The secondary school has the motto: unity, strength and endeavor. The academy is committed to being a fully inclusive institution for children from all walks of life, regardless of their background or ability. There are four core principles at The Parker E-ACT Academy: raising educational standards, tailoring learning to the needs of the individual, creating an inclusive culture and working in partnership with the local community. The Parker E-ACT Academy offers a range of extra-curricular activities for pupils to get involved in and learn new skills, including The Duke of Edinburgh Award.
