Job overview
We are currently looking for a diligent Exams Officer to join our team at Plymouth College. Working closely with the Deputy Head (Academic), SENCo and Learning & Exams Administrator, the successful applicant will play a crucial role in managing, coordinating, and administering the examinations process. Responsibilities include overseeing the examination timetable for the entire academic year and ensuring the smooth execution of all public examinations. Candidates should ensure students and staff experience a well-organized and seamless examination process.
The post holder will have excellent administrative skills, computer literacy and be highly efficient and organised. They will be articulate & able to deal sensitively with a variety of situations with teachers, examination invigilators, pupils, parents and examination board representatives. The ability to be clear and assertive whilst remaining calm, composed, tactful and flexible is essential. It is expected that the post holder will be available to work during the summer holidays, particularly in August, in order to process examination results when they come in.
This post is offered as a 35 week (Term time only) + 4 weeks, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday) position. A reasonable amount of flexibility with the working hours are preferred to meet the needs of busy exam periods.
