Tockington Manor School is a thriving, family orientated, independent preparatory school situated in an idyllic location just north of Bristol. The Headmaster and Governors of Tockington Manor School seek a talented and inspirational teacher to teach General Subjects and a variety of sports. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team.
The new teacher will teach our Key Stage 2 (Year 4) children, covering Humanities, English, Maths and PSHE. You will also be expected to teach teams in one or more of the following: Hockey, Football, Rugby, Netball and Cricket; experience and/or qualifications in any of these sports is highly desirable. There may also be an opportunity to participate in Saturday morning extra-curricular and sporting activities.
In a recent inspection, Tockington Manor School was found to produce pupils who “demonstrate self-confidence and self-awareness of the highest quality” by the Independent School Inspectorate (ISI). They concluded that the quality of the pupils’ personal development was ‘Excellent’, with attainment being above average in relation to national age-related expectations.
Over the last 5 years, the school has seen its roll rise by over 50%. As well as a brand new Music & Performing Arts Suite, refurbished Nursery and Lower School departments, the school boasts a new computer suite, a large astro turf with five tennis courts, a 25 metre indoor pool and 28 acres of beautiful sports grounds. This is, therefore, the ideal role for an ambitious teacher looking to further their career. Tockington Manor is a small yet very busy school and a desire to become involved fully in school life is essential.
Closing date for applications is Friday 28th February. Interviews will be held week commencing 9th March.
