We are seeking to appoint a full time Executive Assistant. The Executive Assistant (EA) will provide essential administrative and logistical support to the Head and Commercial Director, ensuring the effective coordination and smooth running of Rishworth School. The role also includes administrative responsibility for supporting an external clerking agency and liaising with the School’s Governors.
The EA will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the wider Business Support Team, contributing to the efficient back-office operations of this busy school. A high level of professionalism, discretion, collaboration, and common sense is essential.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years’ PA experience in a business setting (not necessarily within education), be highly motivated, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
The role is full time and permanent; working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, all year round.
Energy, commitment and a willingness to take a full and active part in the broader life of this busy school are essential. The successful candidate will be an experienced Personal Assistant, school based experienced is welcomed but not essential.

About Rishworth School
Rishworth School is a mixed, non-denominational, all-through independent day and boarding school situated in Rishworth, West Yorkshire. The school has a Christian ethos but welcomes students from all faiths. There are approximately 450 pupils at Rishworth, between the ages of 3-19.
Rishworth School was established in 1724 by John Wheelwright in a small building, now used as the school’s chapel. The junior school, Heathfield opened in 1951. The school is set around 130 acres of parkland. It is a founder member of the Society of Headmasters for Independent Schools (SHMIS). Rishworth and Heathfield both offer an extensive range of learning facilities and share a swimming pool, performing arts centre and playing fields.
