Ambitious College is London's first specialist Day College for young people aged 16-25 with a primary diagnosis of autism, some of whom have additional disabilities. We are looking for a highly organised and adaptable Executive Assistant that has extensive line management experience. You will have the opportunity to lead and develop the administrative practice and support your wider team, in line with supporting the Head of College and our Governing Body. 

Your day-to-day role will be very varied, allowing you to grow and develop skills in new areas. You will be highly organised and have the ability to manage a diverse workload.

We are seeking to appoint an EA that: 

  • Has experience managing internal and external communication for a range of senior stakeholders, in writing, face to face and on the telephone.   
  • Has experience of and will build trusted and effective relationships with parents, Governors, Trustees, staff, local authorities, VIP visitors to the college, other departments and services of Ambitious about Autism and any other stakeholders. 
  • Is used to working within fast paced environment, where projects, tasks and reports are highly time-sensitive. 
  • Will take a pro-active approach to line management, building strong relationships, coaching and developing.

Ambitious College is a specialist day college for autistic young people aged 16 –25.

The college has two campuses co-located within mainstream colleges in north and west London. These are the Pears Campus at the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London (CONEL) in Tottenham and the Pears Campus at West Thames College in Isleworth.

At each campus, there is a team of dedicated and passionate professionals including teachers, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, employment specialists, behaviour specialists and specialist support staff. Using the Ambitious Approach to education, they work together to come up with learning and support approaches tailored to the individual.

Through a range of partnerships with local businesses, community groups and mainstream partners, the college also offer opportunities to learn in the community. This combined approach – personalised education, positive support and real work experience – delivers results. It allows young people to achieve their goals, fulfil their potential and go on to lead active lives in their community.
