Job overview

Be a leader in Education

Titan Partnership is a distinct, large, cross-phase educational partnership based in Birmingham that members choose to join annually. Members range from nursery settings, children’s centres, schools (primary, special and secondary), university technical colleges, further education colleges and universities. The partnership also works closely with several companies, community, and statutory organisations.

The Titan Partnership is one of the most significant and long standing educational partnerships in the West Midlands. For nearly thirty years it has allowed institutions from all sectors of education to work together and equally importantly engage with the world of business. The recent emphasis on collaboration between institutions is nothing new for members of Titan and has been a feature of the Partnership throughout its existence.

The longevity and success of the partnership have been primarily the result of it providing services and support relevant to the needs of its membership and its willingness to venture into new areas. In a rapidly changing educational landscape the needs of the membership are constantly changing and a key role of the Executive Director will be to anticipate future needs as well as developing new projects which may be beyond the means of individual institutions.

This is an exciting opportunity at an important stage in the development of the Partnership and offers the successful candidate the chance to play a significant role in the education of young people in Birmingham, the youngest city in Europe.

You will lead on the strategic vision, development and direction of Titan Partnership Ltd. You will need to successfully harness and manage relationships with key external partners for the future growth of the partnership. You will also lead on income generation (to include increasing membership and growth of the business) having the overall supervision and management of the staff of the Titan Partnership Ltd with overall responsibility for all financial oversight and planning of the partnership.

  • A strategic vision with the ability and willingness to prioritise and deliver the vision.
  • Held a leadership role in a membership organisation and/or a leadership role within an education setting.
  • The ability to form strong influential relationships with key figures from relevant organisations.

The Titan Partnership is distinctive - it has a clear mission. It has a proven record of providing services and opportunities that have influenced the lives of young people who have supported the schools and colleges improvement agendas for nearly thirty years.
