The Riverside Federation was established in 2016 between Bodiam CE Primary School and Etchingham CE Primary School, following a successful partnership that began in 2010.

The Governors of the Riverside Federation are seeking the right person to be our Executive Headteacher.

Our schools are rated Ofsted ‘good’ and SIAMS ‘outstanding’, providing a solid foundation for a new leader to build on.

Our new Executive Headteacher will bring their own style to:

  • Lead both schools to consolidate ‘good’ and move to ‘outstanding’
  • Strengthen ties with the local community
  • Work in partnership with governors, parents and staff
  • Reinforce partnerships with our collaboration schools
  • Stay at the forefront of educational development

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
