Role: Executive Headteacher (North West)
Hours: Full Time – Term Time, 195 Days Per Year
Location: Overseeing 3 Small Independent Special Schools (Maximum of 9 pupils) for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs based in the Lancashire and Tameside area (travelling will be required - applicants must have access to own vehicle).

Halliwell are a social enterprise that offers a clinically informed practice model and therapeutic programme encompassing educational, clinical and residential care services. Our objective is to enhance the psychological wellbeing of children within the ‘looked after children’ sector through our Restorative Parenting® Recovery Programme.
The Executive Headteacher will report to the Education Director overseeing three Halliwell Education schools providing innovative learning and teaching. The Executive Headteacher will know students’ targets in all National Curriculum subjects and ensure the planning of lessons which engage, enable and excite them, setting challenging learning objectives which ensure students make progress which is at least good.
The Executive Headteacher will ensure the planning and assessing to develop the literacy, numeracy and communication skills of students is done. This will be regularly and formally tracked and facilitate the discussing of progress against targets of the students with the Head Of Education and Lead Teachers. Modelling positivity, enthusiasm and commitment the Executive Headteacher will be sensitive and alert to students’ changing needs. Ensuring positive classroom conditions for learning (organised resources, stimulating environment, seating plan for learning) as well as knowing their students’ interests and abilities the Executive Headteacher will ensure plans are in place to capture students imaginations and make learning relevant to their lives.
