The Diocese of Bristol Academies Trust (BDAT) has an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and innovative leader to develop a learning campus at the heart of the new Wichelstowe community.

In short, this role is a chance to create a legacy. Our fantastic buildings are taking shape, and there is now an exciting opportunity to join with us to lead the growth of an incredibly special educational provision for life-long learning. Very rarely do you have both the blank canvas of a new school, and a new community to help shape.

The new position of Executive Headteacher will lead our flagship Secondary School, the Deanery CE Academy, and our brand-new Primary School, Kingfisher CE Academy.

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, values driven leader, who will drive forward the establishment of the primary and ensure the progressive growth of the Deanery.

You will be:

  • Passionate about providing the best for every child
  • Committed to the lived Christian mission, vision and values of the Trust and our Academies
  • A dynamic and creative practitioner and pedagogue to develop and embed the vision for the learning campus
  • An authentic leader of teaching and learning with a passion for learning across all phases - 2 - 18 year old
  • An exceptional coach and leader, who will collaboratively engage staff as the team grows and develops
  • A highly effective system leader, with a vision for sector-leading practice
