This is an exciting opportunity to join the Executive Office team within an outstanding Sixth Form College. We are seeking a proactive administrator with a marketing and communications focus.  The successful candidate will be well organised with proven administration skills and the ability to multitask.  They will have experience of designing marketing literature and writing content which is both accessible and exciting. Experience of using the Adobe suite is critical to this post.

The Sixth Form College Farnborough is part of The Prospect Trust, a leading Multi-Academy Trust in the South of England, with an aim of providing outstanding education for all learners within a family of local academies. There are currently three academies within the Trust: The Sixth Form College Farnborough, Tomlinscote School and Frimley Church of England Junior School.

The Role

This post forms part of the Executive Office team which is a busy, creative and vibrant hub operating at the very heart of the College. The Executive Office team is a critical administrative resource within the College which, in addition to marketing and communications, is also responsible for the planning and delivery of major College events as well as providing administrative support to the senior leadership team.

The post holder will have skills in design using the Adobe suite and the ability to draft clear and concise communications to be shared across a range of mediums. Responsibilities include designing materials for recruitment purposes including the annual College prospectus, drafting communications including news stories for the website and contributing to social media posts.

This position is a full time, ‘through year’ post which means you will be working during the College holidays.  You will need to hold a full driving licence and be willing and able to work outside of normal College hours to support the events.

Interviews: During the week beginning 22 August 2022.

Contract/Hours: Full-Time, 37 hours per week 

Working Pattern:  Monday-Friday

The Sixth Form College Farnborough is a sixth form college located in the town of the same name, in Hampshire. Since September 2017, The College has been part of The Prospect Trust, a multi-academy trust. The College had originally been a grammar school founded in 1936, becoming a full sixth form college in 1992. The college is co-educational, with over 3900 students aged 16-19. Since its establishment as a sixth form, the college has undergone extensive redevelopment and modernisation, and as a result can boast of a wide range of high-quality teaching and recreational facilities such as a brand-new purpose-built teaching block opened in 2010 containing teaching facilities for physics, electronics and photography among others. Around a third of the students at the college are on mixed programmes of study combining A levels and vocational courses. The college offers 33 A-level courses, with the largest being in psychology and mathematics. Of the 11 vocational courses, the largest are in criminology and business.
