Job overview

We are looking for an Executive Office Manager and PA to organise and supervise administrative systems across Harris Academy Coleraine Park and Philip Lane, and to assist the AD in all organisational tasks and any other additional support needed. You will contribute to the planning, development and monitoring of support services and management of admin support staff, including the coordination and delegation of relevant activities.

Main Areas of Responsibility

Working across both academies, your job purpose will be to undertake the following:

Executive Office Management:

  • Office Management across both academies: Be responsible for the excellent functioning of both academy offices creating and managing change to ensure organisation, administrative and operational systems lead to the smooth functioning of the offices/academies.
  • Line Management and Training: Manage the performance of all office staff/services across both academies. Create individual support and training plans. Organise/lead joint academy INSET for office teams.
  • Compliance: Be responsible for compliance across both academies ensuring legal elements/ Gov returns are met: DBS checks, SCR, website compliance, H&S, GDPR, medical issues and school census returns.
  • Event Management: Manage both office teams to ensure the success and high standards of all academy events

PA to the Assistant Director:

  • Assist the AD in all organisational tasks and any other additional support needed.
  • Diary Management and Principal/HoS.
  • Support AD by being responsible for all SLT diary events ensuring all academy, federation and national deadlines are met.
  • Support AD in other academies: Where necessary support the AD in cluster academies to ensure she/HoS has sufficient access to information.

Qualifications & Experience

  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification or experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Several years’ experience working in an office environment at senior level.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience of using Bromcom or other MIS
  • Experience of working with the general public.
  • Experience of using, maintaining and developing administrative systems
  • Good understanding of databases, including ability to use database to procedure reports and statistics
  • Full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice/legislation.

Harris Primary Academy Philip Lane is a two form entry Primary with part time Nursery located in North London, which opened in September 2012 in the heart of Tottenham. We are a happy, caring and supportive Academy that is raising standards and expectations.

In work and in play, Harris primary students are encouraged towards traditional values: good manners and behaviour, enthusiasm for learning, and recognising right from wrong. Our aim is that, whatever a child’s background or starting point, by the time they move on to secondary school from the Academy they will have developed the academic skills, social skills, confidence and drive that they need in order to succeed.
