We are pleased to advertise this unique opportunity for an outstanding and dynamic Executive Principal to join our Executive Leadership Team. This role will be responsible for Nugent’s School and children/young people’s education provision.  The successful candidate will be expected to be creative and innovative, driving improvements in education across Nugent.

This role will have leadership of Nugent House School and strategic oversight for Nugent Education, working closely with the Head of Residential (Children) for Nugent House Residential Homes. 

Nugent House School is our flagship school for children and young people aged 7-19 with emotional, behaviour and mental health needs (SEMH) providing specialist therapeutic residential and educational support.

As an experienced and committed education leader, you will provide support to your peers and leadership to your direct reports. You will provide strategic advice on educational areas and drive the growth of this sector within Nugent.

Responsibilities within this role will also include the development of our staff to ensure they can complete their roles to the highest standard, to identify targets for our pupils so that they can achieve and make progress with their learning and continue to drive the vision of the school.

We have a large operations portfolio. This role is ideal for you as a conscientious and driven individual who is prepared to roll up your sleeves and actively engage in achievement of the vision.

Nugent House School is part of Nugent Care, which is a multi-service agency, and one of the North West's leading charities, caring for children, disabled and disadvantaged people of all ages.

Located in Billinge near Wigan, Nugent House School caters for boys between the ages of 7 and 19, who are subject to a Statement of Special Educational Needs. Our experienced staff are trained in the provision of care and education for students with emotional behaviour and mental health needs.

We offer a broad and balanced curriculum, with the emphasis on integrating our pupils into mainstream education, and have successfully entered our pupils into GCSE exams.
