Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn plays an integral role in education in the ACT and NSW operating 56 Schools and 8 Early Learning Centres.

About the Role

This position will be part of the Strategy service area within CE and will be responsible for assisting the Strategy Leader and other key Executives and stakeholders in a role that is pivotal to the delivery of the Catholic Education, Canberra & Goulburn’s strategic projects.

About you

We are seeking a dynamic, professional that is well-organised and highly motivated.  As an Executive Support Project Officer you will be reporting to the Strategy Leader and will be working with other key Executives and stakeholders in a role that is pivotal to the delivery of the Catholic Education, Canberra & Goulburn’s strategic projects.

The role is critical in provisioning high-level executive and project support to the Service Area and Executive by having the ability to provide high-quality and accurate advice. The position will entail managing the day-to-day operations of the office of the Strategy Leader, managing and organising complex diaries, and providing executive support in meetings, whilst providing the Strategy Team with support in the completion of the organisations strategic projects.

The Office of Strategy plays a critical role in the implementation of the organisation's vision for Catholic Schools by developing strategy and overseeing, supporting, and delivering key strategic projects across the system.

Essential Criteria

  • Clearly demonstrated and proven Project Management and Executive Support experience within a busy multifaceted environment
  • High-level interpersonal skills with a courteous and collaborative approach and an ability to build positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Well-developed communication skills, including the ability to communicate and engage with all levels of stakeholders, including at a technical level and positive team building
  • Strong written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyse data and prepare reports, briefing papers, and other executive support documentation
  • Proven capacity to work individually or as part of a team delivering quality and valued work in a timely manner, demonstrating vital planning and organisational skills
  • Professional experience and advanced working knowledge with computer software packages including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Docs
