Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated Class teacher to come and join the staff team at Brackenbury. The position could be based across any key stage so we would welcome applicants who are interested in working across the primary age range.

Brackenbury is a two form entry primary school with one full time Nursery class. Ours is a diverse and vibrant school that is fully reflective of the mixed community which it serves. We have been graded as good by Ofsted (December 2022) and wish to continue to enhance our fantastic teaching and learning.

Brackenbury is part of a Federation with Kenmont Primary and Wendell Park Primary Schools, both in LBHF. We share an Executive Head teacher and offer staff many opportunities to work with colleagues across our partnership of school and share best practice and undertake joint professional development.

We are seeking to appoint someone who….

·        Has relevant experience of teaching in EYFS, Key Stage 1 and or Key Stage 2

·        Is an inclusive and inspiring teacher with a strong record of improving rates of progress

·        Is ambitious and energetic and can ensure high quality provision

·        Has excellent interpersonal skills and qualities that motivate children

·        Is a committed, adaptable team player with excellent communication and organisational skills

·        Will be accountable for raising standards and securing high quality provision within their class.

About Brackenbury Primary School

On behalf of the children, staff and Governors, I would like to thank you for your interest in Brackenbury Primary School.

Brackenbury Primary School is a large, vibrant, welcoming school in the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The building is situated on a large site and dates back to 1879. Every classroom is provided with up-to-date resources and the latest technology including interactive screens. Among our facilities are a full computer suite, art room, music room, flexible hall for drama and gymnastics as well as a larger hall used for assemblies and performances to parents.

We are fortunate to have several small group teaching rooms used by specialist teachers and a wonderful Library. Also on site is a dedicated Early Years building housing our youngest children as well as ‘The Shed’ which is home to our before  school childcare service. Excellent staff, office and reception facilities add to the superb environment which enhances teaching and learning for every adult and child who has the opportunity to become part of the Brackenbury Primary School community.
