Experienced Maths and Physics Teacher

Experienced Maths and Physics Teacher sought for long-term tutoring position in Monaco.

Hours: 80-120 hours/month

Contract: Monaco – full time employment for minimum 1 academic year (Sept – June inclusive)

Education level: Undergraduate degree mandatory; Qualified Teacher Status / Postgraduate degree desirable

Role:

• You will be employed by Riviera Tutors in Monaco to deliver high quality private tuition to students in Year 11 (aged 15-16) and Year 13 (aged 17-18) in Maths and Physics. Our students require expert tutoring to help them to consolidate content, develop revision strategies and practice exam technique, so that they can achieve the highest level in their IGSCEs and IBs.
• Your weekly workload will be circa 25 hours, Monday to Saturday. On weekdays, tuition will be intensive in the evenings (roughly 4 hours per evening). Depending on performance there will be the opportunity to significantly increase this, especially during the exam seasons.
• Further opportunities to work with classes of 4-8 students, create your own specialist courses and participate in Riviera Tutors’ projects.
• Lessons will take place at 2 rue du Gabian, Monaco.

About you:

• Professional teaching/tutoring experience: the position requires a highly organised tutor with 3+ years’ experience teaching Maths and Physics to students at IGCSE/GCSE and IB/A-Level, and delivering consistently high results for students.
• Personal skills: you must be dynamic and strongly empathetic to the human needs of each child outside the academics, adjusting their work accordingly.
• Academic skills: Riviera Tutors works with high calibre tutors. An excellent degree from a prestigious university (Oxbridge preferred) in Maths or Physics, along with a strong academic record, is mandatory.
• You must have ‘found your voice’ as a teacher and developed a distinctive teaching style that you are able to articulate and discuss. We would like to know how you developed this style and how you tailor it to different students.
