Experienced Year 1 Teacher

This position is suitable for only experienced Teachers only.

We are looking for someone who:

Is experienced, passionate and committed to KS1 teaching and learning and has

experience teaching in Year 1. (This role is not suitable for an ECT.)

 Has the experience to facilitate a supportive and engaging transition from the early

years to Year 1 including elements of free-flow into practice in Year 1 at the beginning

of the year.

 Has the experience to ensure children are ready for the challenges of the Year 2

curriculum by the end of their time in Year 1.

 Wants the next step up in their career and is happy to take on additional

responsibilities.

 Is passionate about providing a stimulating learning environment (indoors and

outdoors).

 Will be responsible for creating a safe environment to support, nurture and inspire

children’s development and learning.

 Has a talent for making learning exciting and vibrant and who can inspire and motivate

pupils.

 Teaches the KS1 curriculum in a creative and engaging way.

 Maintains a strong and up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum and has high

expectations for all learners.

 Displays a strong teamwork ethic along with peer teachers and Teaching and Learning

Assistants.

 Is committed to the personal development of the pupils in the class.
