KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Being situated in the 18th District, in Vienna, Austria, we have unparalleled opportunities for real world learning, exciting trips, adventures, and residential stays. The Experiential Learning Coordinator is tasked with bringing this potential to life, by supporting and inspiring staff and students to get out into Vienna, and get out into the world to learn.

Within this remit includes (but is not limited to) the positions of


Summer Camp Coordinator

o   Supports the marketing, promotion and admissions for the Summer Camp

o   Assumes leadership of the Summer Camp and oversight of the program

o   Provides feedback to grow the Summer Camp programs and maximise value

 

Trips and Visits Coordinator

o   Oversee the Trips and Visits policy implementation including risk assessment and planning

o   Ensure staff are briefed on emergency management procedures

 

Signature Experience Programme Coordinator

o   Manage the delivery of the school’s experiential residential programme

o   Plan, organize and attend trips, adventurous activities and expeditions

o   Coordinate, plan and attend the annual school ski trips

 

Activities Program (ASA) Coordinator

o   Oversee the school’s program of afterschool activities

o   Ensure robust systems of accountability, attendance and quality assurance

 

Boarding Weekend Program Coordinator

o   Implement a program of weekend activities for boarding students based on their needs and the learning and engagement objectives of the school.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Essential:

 

·        Proven work experience in leading outdoor adventure and cultural activities

·        Knowledge of risk management

·        Previous experience in a school context

·        Previous experience in residential contexts

·        Excellent command of the English language

·        Full clean drivers licence

·        Resilience and flexibility

·        Polite, friendly and well organized

·        Ability to work cooperatively with many different stakeholders.

·        Ability to develop and work to a budget

·        Alignment with our values (happiness, kindness, imagination)

·        Commitment to distinction

 

Desirable:

 

·        Teaching experience

·        Mountain leader and or water based instructor qualification

·        Additional languages (especially German)

·        Sense of humour

·        Valid residency and work permit for Austria or EU citizen

·        Valid First Aid certificate

·        The salary, depending on qualifications and experience, follows the current salary scale with a minimum gross monthly salary of EUR 2,100.00 (14 times a year) for an employment based on a full-time equivalent.
