Achieving Excellence where Every Child Matters
Do you share our vision for every child in our school?
This is an exciting opportunity to influence the vision and direction of our Early Years department. We are looking for dynamic EYFS practitioners with a passion for learning and genuine interest in, and commitment to, outdoor learning. The successful candidate will be an outstanding, learning focused practitioner, preferably with experience of (or willingness to) teach KS1. They must have a strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and Assessment for Learning. Use of a VLE such as Tapestry to support learning within the classroom and beyond, as well as for assessment purposes and communication with parents, would be a strong advantage. Experience of working with children for whom English is not their mother tongue is essential. Candidates must have a native level of English.
As part of our growing primary team, the successful candidate would be expected to be a dynamic and collaborative teacher, with high expectations of themselves and the children. We are looking for someone who can inspire, challenge and engage our learners, as well as be a highly flexible, co-operative and supportive part of the EYFS and wider school team. A commitment to educating the whole child, emphasis on high levels of pastoral care and an inclusive approach to education will be of the utmost importance as we make the final appointment. The ability to adapt quickly to new situations, with a problem solving mindset is something we as a school value very highly. As our students come to us from a range of different backgrounds and with varying needs, an interest in raising attainment across all ability levels is imperative. Experience of working with children who are working in a second or third language is essential.
St George Madrid is a fast growing school within the St George Group of Schools in Spain and is located in a prime educational zone to the North of the capital. The school is an all-through school, and is based on a single site with children aged from 20 months to 18 years. We follow an adapted English National Curriculum across our primary and secondary schools, leading to examination at IGCSE and IB Diploma.
As an international school we expect all of our staff to commit to the wider life of the school, through our after-school programme, as well as school events and activities going on throughout the year.
If you are committed to child centred education, with a deep rooted desire to help every child reach their potential and are interested in helping shape the future development of an international school we would be delighted to hear from you.
