Two Year Contract Commencing September 2018

The Royal Grammar School, Guildford in Qatar (RGSGQ) opened in September 2016 with the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. Based on the same principles as RGS Guildford, UK, RGSGQ quickly gained a reputation for providing outstanding education and saw enrolment increase across the School. RGSGQ currently educates girls and boys from Nursery to Year 6 on an attractive campus 10 minutes’ drive north of central Doha. Having established an excellent team of staff and outstanding facilities the School will open Year 7 and 8 in September 2018.

We are looking to appoint an experienced and dynamic Early Years Foundation Stage Coordinator to join our successful team at the Royal Grammar School Guildford in Qatar. The successful candidate will have a track record of providing high quality teaching and learning and have a secure understanding and knowledge of the Foundation Stage curriculum and Development Matters. Knowledge and experience working with students for whom English is an additional language would be beneficial. Experience of working at Senior leadership level in a successful, growing school that follows the EYFS would be an advantage.

This is an excellent opportunity for an outstanding educational professional who has the ambition and vision to join one of the UK’s most successful schools. The successful candidate will bring their innovative ideas, professionalism and leadership qualities to the RGS and work with the Head of School and Deputy Head of School to provide vision, leadership and direction for the Pre Prep School.

In addition to providing teachers with the opportunity to be part of one of the UK’s most successful schools, we offer a competitive tax free salary, accommodation and transport allowances, private medical cover, annual return flights to home country, and end of service gratuity.

Applicants should send a letter of application outlining their suitability for the role to Mr Downs, Head of School. A current CV, including recent photograph and two professional references should also be included and emailed together with the letter of application to recruitment@rgsgq.com

Interviews will take place via Skype, and in person in Doha and Guildford in December and January 2018.

The RGS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including reference checks with previous employers and Disclosure and Barring Service check.
