Job overview

“St. Andrew’s is the hidden gem of Streatham!”

EYFS Leader required for September 2019

We are currently seeking an inspirational and motivated EYFS class teacher to join our staff and lead the EYFS:

At St Andrew’s we strive to ensure all of our children achieve their full social, moral and academic potential. We endeavour to create a wonderful environment that is innovative, stimulating and inspiring for children and staff alike. The successful candidate will be well supported with training and guidance in order to develop their skills and expertise in a school recently graded “Outstanding” by Ofsted.

The class teacher role will be in a Reception class. The EYFS leader aspect of the role will involve coordinating the parallel Reception class, as well as liaising with the KS1 phase.  If working as part of a deeply committed team in a great school sounds appealing, come and join us teaching these fabulous children! Candidates do not have to be Catholic to work at St. Andrew’s, but must support the Catholic ethos and values of the school.

We are also looking for a teacher who:

• is an excellent classroom teacher able to teach within the EYFS setting

• has high expectations for all pupils

• has energy and initiative

• enjoys life and has  a sense of humour

• is keen to develop and learn with and from others

• has strengths and ideas they want to share with us.

The post would be suitable for teachers looking to acquire additional responsibility. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The successful candidate will be required to undertake a criminal record check via the DBS.

We warmly welcome you to visit our wonderful school.  Please telephone the school office to make an appointment. Please look at our Twitter page and our website to get an idea of what our school is like!
