About the school…

Barrow Hedges is an inclusive, popular and successful primary school with wonderful children who are keen to learn. Always heavily over-subscribed, we are situated in a leafy, residential area between Wallington and Sutton. At present we have 667 children on roll, including 52 children in our own nursery. Barrow Hedges Primary School originally opened in 1955. It was previously a two-form entry school, we are now fully three forms of entry. We have 22 classrooms, a Learning Hub, two halls, spacious corridors and classrooms, recently updated playground equipment and a large playing field; making our environment a great place to learn and achieve.

About the job…

We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic and caring Senior Teaching Assistant to work in one of our Reception Classes.  The hours for this role will be organised to suit the needs of the children that the successful applicant will work with.  It is desirable that applicants will have experience working in school settings. Knowledge and/or experience of the Early Years curriculum is also desirable as the successful candidate will work with their own key group under the supervision of a class teacher.  Please read the Job Description and Person Specification carefully before applying.  Visits to the school are also recommended.

This is a Part Time role 4 days a week (29 hours), Term Time only.
