Values and Vision

Greenfield Primary describes its vision as being to “try our best, to be the best we can”. It considers itself to be a school where all staff have high expectations of student work, children are able to improve easily through feedback, and parents, carers, staff and pupils all share the same positive attitude towards education and behaviour. Expectations are equally high for the whole school community. The school makes use of both formative and summative assessment to raise pupils’ achievement and to help teachers identify their progress.

The school provides a selection of extracurricular activities, including cooking club, street dance and gymnastics, to help fit in with children’s hobbies. Greenfield has recently received awards from Healthy Schools, Sport England, Financial Management Standard in Schools and ActiveMark.

Ofsted

“All groups of pupils, including disabled pupils and those with special educational needs, are well prepared for the next stage of their education. They take pride in their work and reach at least average standards by the end of Year 6. The work set is accurately matched to pupils’ ability and teachers ask thoughtful questions to ensure pupils’ good understanding.”
