Job Description:
As an EYFS Teacher at KISU, you will be responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and supportive learning environment for young children aged 3-5 years. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote early development in literacy, numeracy, social skills, and physical growth while fostering curiosity and creativity.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field (minimum requirement)

- Qualified Teacher Status
- At least 2 years of experience working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage or similar setting
- Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum framework and best practices in early childhood education
- Excellent communication skills with both children and parents
- Ability to create lesson plans tailored to individual learning needs
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young learners

The School

Founded in 1993, Kampala International School, Uganda began as a small primary school with a curriculum based on the National Curriculum of England and Wales. KISU has evolved considerably over the years and has undertaken an ambitious programme of expansion and development. It now boasts a purpose built school with excellent sporting facilities. Despite this phenomenal growth, the School has maintained its original aims and teaching philosophy.
Aims & Ethos

The Enriched Curriculum

KISU has a programme of studies based on the National Curriculum of England and Wales. French is taught to all children from Year One upwards. A programme of personal, social and health education(PSHE)  is implemented throughout the school. The curriculum has been adapted to reflect the international diversity of our school community and its location in Uganda.
