Halfpenny Lane J, I & N School is a larger than average two form entry primary school. The school ethos is based on a mantra of ‘Dream, Believe, Achieve’. We have a positive culture in place throughout school and high expectations for children’s learning, their behaviour and personal presentation. The staff at Halfpenny Lane are naturally ambitious and strive to ensure that all children are provided with every opportunity to maximise their undoubted potential.


We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and committed EYFS Class Teacher (with EYFS Phase Leader responsibility) to join the team at Halfpenny Lane Junior, Infant and Nursery School. The successful candidate will lead on the future development of the EYFS curriculum, and ensure pupils of all abilities are being effectively assessed and supported in line with their bespoke needs. They will also be responsible for providing professional leadership to the staff team to secure high standards of learning and achievement for all pupils, in addition to the duties of an EYFS teacher.


This is a 1 FTE, permanent contract.


We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic person who:

 

  • has a passion for helping pupils thrive and meet their full potential.
  • has a friendly manner and can communicate effectively with staff and students.
  • can work effectively as part of a team but can also work independently using their own initiative.
  • has experience of working in a similar specialist area.
