About Us

St James Preparatory School is a co-educational independent school for boys and girls located in beautiful modern grounds in Kensington Olympia. It is linked to St James Nursery School and the Senior Girls’ School on the same site, in addition to St James Senior Boys’ School in Ashford, Surrey. The school building is modern and spacious, with excellent facilities including a brand new IT suite.

Overview

This is a full-time permanent position to assist the nursery teacher and to provide childcare to pupils attending the After School Care provision at the school. The post holder will be responsible for the day to day support of teaching and learning to ensure that ‘best in class’ services are delivered on behalf of the school. About you

The successful applicant will be required to assist in teaching and also have an important pastoral care role in the nursery and the After School Club and will be expected to communicate with parents and represent the caring ethos of the school. Attendance at staff meetings and other specified after-school events will form a part of the contractual hours of duty.

About St James Preparatory School

St James Prep School is a co-educational IAPS day prep and nursery school for children aged 2-11. An oasis of calm in bustling Kensington, the school is resourced with enviable outside space (including a forest school), a fully-resourced teaching kitchen, science labs, and a new ICT Suite.
