Location - Southampton

Totton College’s Specialist Provision (Project Fresh) provides a range of alternative courses to students who require additional support with emotional, social, behavioural and learning needs who have been disengaged from education from a vast length of time.

Who we are looking for?

The college is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed individual who can effectively

work within the team to facilitate the delivery of basic delivery of vocational subjects, English and Maths, personal and social development, employability and life skills. In this role you will be determined and committed to develop learners with difficulties, disabilities and wide range of other learning needs. You will be expected to develop physical, emotional, social, intellectual and employability skills for each learner.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To carry out facilitation of learning contributing significantly to the growth of specialist provision curriculum and providing a diverse range of development opportunities for learners
  • To develop learner experience within a variety of different settings
  • Contribute to the planning and daily routine of the learners
  • Prepare learning resources to use within activities/sessions
  • Build relationships, plan, develop and maintain the employment and work experience activities for all foundation learners
  • To contribute toward and facilitate enrichment activities
  • To ensure high standards of physical, emotional social, and intellectual care for all learners
  • To communicate with parent, guardians, college support, local authority agencies and carers

The successful applicant will need to have experience of working within a SEN setting and it is essential to have experience in teaching, facilitating, assessing, or instructing learning.
