We are looking for a reliable, energetic and organised Facilities Assistant to join our busy Independent school in Sidcup as soon as possible. The candidate would be joining us at an exciting time with the school expanding and potential for additional hours and responsibility as the school evolves. The ideal candidate would be organised, friendly and a team player and will be willing to work hard around the school site and use common sense to help keep the site safe, clean, and in good repair.
The candidate would report to the Facilities, Health, and Safety Manager with responsibilities including the recording and reporting of Health and Safety matters such as daily maintenance checks and compliance tests. The candidate would be required to complete maintenance work to the Facilities and Grounds along with general and emergency cleaning, emergency repairs, portering, and liaising with contractors and school users. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Additional skills, such as DIY, painting, and decorating are highly valued.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am – 3pm. The candidate must be flexible and will be required to undertake 2 hours of cleaning per day as part of our site expansion cleaning requirements. Applicants must be fit and healthy. A clean driving licence with a willingness to obtain a minibus licence would be desirable.

Hourly rate £9 - £11 per hour dependant on prior experience and suitability.
