‘CAT employs rolling recruitment methodologies, with shortlisting and interviews for some roles taking place as and when applications are received. This may mean that some roles are recruited to before the closing date, we therefore advise that applications are made without undue delay’

Marshfield has undergone rapid improvement over recent years to become one of the country’s highest performing primary schools, ranking 22nd out of nearly 21000 schools in the 2019 KS2 SATS. In 2024 we were ranked the 4th best primary school in the North of England, and 81st nationally This has led the school to be featured in the Sunday Times Parent Power lists and is one of the very small number of primary schools to be awarded World Class School Status by the World Class Schools Quality Mark.

Since 2020 Marshfield has been part of Carlton Academy Trust (CAT) which emerged from the outstanding success of Carlton Bolling, an inner-city Bradford secondary school. Today, we proudly oversee three secondary schools, three primary schools, and three special schools, collectively educating nearly 5000 students, and employing almost 1,000 members of staff. All CAT schools are rated either Outstanding or Good by Ofsted.

The school has just over 470 students and is situated in a vibrant community serving a diverse demographic of children close to the centre of Bradford. Marshfield utilises a bespoke curriculum designed to create an enquiry-based approach to learning, with inspiring and culturally relevant teaching sequences led by teachers who are passionate in providing an outstanding primary education.

Marshfield is a ‘Nurturing School’, being the first primary school within the city to achieve this national award, in recognition of our continued emphasis on supporting the well-being and mental health of all staff, students, and families.

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Facilities Coordinator to ensure our school site remains safe, clean, and well-maintained for all users. This key role involves overseeing health and safety compliance, managing contractors, conducting statutory checks, and supporting site operations through minor repairs and cleaning supervision. The successful candidate will be highly organised, hands-on, and committed to maintaining a welcoming environment for staff, students, and visitors. If you are passionate about creating safe and efficient spaces and enjoy working collaboratively, we would love to hear from you.

Our school can offer:

• A supportive and collaborative team.
• Use of productive and efficient work systems.
• Reduction in paperwork and bureaucracy.
• All Trust staff enjoy membership of a non-contributory Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
• Commitment to holding just one after school meeting or event each week.
• Opportunities for professional development and career growth within the school as well as with our collaborated schools.
• A chance to make a lasting impact on children’s lives in their crucial early years.

Employee welfare is extremely important to us, and we are proud to offer a comprehensive employee benefits package through the ‘Carlton Cares’ programme, designed to support colleagues physical, mental and financial wellbeing. These benefits include a fully funded Health Plan and an Employee Assistance Programme, in addition to salary sacrifice and employee discount schemes.

We hope you are excited by this opportunity and look forward to welcoming applications from colleagues who share our values and ambition to deliver excellence for all to our students.

We welcome visits to the school; to arrange a convenient time please contact Anita Riedel, Recruitment Manager:
