Facilities Maintenance Assistant, Writhlington Campus
Pay Grade 3, Scale Point 5-6 (£18,795 - £19,171 pa)
37 hours per week, All Year Round 3 shift rota
Monday to Friday 6.30am to 2.30pm, 9.00am to 5.00pm & 2.00pm to 10.00pm
This post is ideally to cover the 2.00pm to 10.00pm shift, however the current working pattern allows for this to be reviewed.
Our supportive and friendly Facilities Team are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join them in keeping Writhlington Campus operational.
Primarily, you will assist with keeping the campus secure, clean and safe for our students. You will also carry out painting and decorating and if you are able, carry out minor plumbing and carpentry work. Occasionally, you may be asked to drive the minibus. As part of a team, you will work mostly independently and compile your own task priority list, dealing with daily duties and requests for minor maintenance tasks.
The nature of the role will require you to lift and carry items independently and to move up and down ladders with ease. Ideally, you will have knowledge or experience of maintenance activities and general building repair, although, we are able to offer on the job training for the right candidate and training through an Apprenticeship programme is also available. A current driving licence is desirable.
