As this is a cluster role, it will be based at two sites - Meoncross School as main base and a requirement to spend one day a week and as necessary at Kingscourt School in Catherington due to the nature of the role as directed by the Operations Manager. About the role
As Facilities Manager, you will be essential to the smooth and efficient operation of the schools, ensuring that the facilities, infrastructure, and grounds are safe, well-maintained, and fit for purpose. You will manage all aspects of premises and facility management, including health and safety compliance, fire safety, and maintenance schedules. A key part of your role will be overseeing minor works and refurbishments, managing third-party contractors, and coordinating school events. You will also be responsible for site security, handling key holder duties, and ensuring the premises are opened and closed as needed. With a hands-on approach, you will lead a team, ensuring high standards and a supportive environment for students, staff, and parents alike. You’ll be a vital part of delivering a high-quality experience for everyone at the school, ensuring that the facilities reflect the excellence of the educational environment.

Who we are looking for:
We are looking for an experienced, self-starter with excellent organisational skills who thrives in a dynamic, service-driven environment. You should have a solid background in facilities management and health and safety, ideally across multiple sites. This would include a degree or vocational qualification in facilities management, H&S (IOSH) etc. The ability to manage a team and handle both practical and administrative tasks efficiently is essential. Practical skills, such as carpentry, painting and decorating or plumbing, would be highly desirable. You should be able to remain calm under pressure, have a keen eye for detail, and take pride in creating a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for all.
