The Governors of Blessed John Henry Newman RC College are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced individual to the role of Facilities Manager. 

The successful candidate will be familiar with the operation and management of facilities, possibly in a PFI setting, and will be a strong presence who builds positive relationships with all stakeholders.  Equally they will hold the necessary confidence and experience to ensure that the College’s needs are represented and fulfilled, so that the site presents a safe and welcoming learning environment for students and staff.

The postholder will also support the Director of Support Services in the leadership and management of the catering function, which is delivered inhouse serving a significant student body. 

Sound knowledge of facilities management, health and safety, risk assessment, project management and the ability to oversee the catering function, are therefore essential.  The skills and personal qualities to develop positive working relationships at all levels is equally vital to this post.

About Saint John Henry Newman Catholic College

Saint John Henry Newman Catholic College is a Catholic Secondary School located in Chadderton, Greater Manchester. It falls under the  Diocese of Salford.

The school was formed in 2011 from the amalgamation of St Augustine of Canterbury RC High School in Werneth, Oldham and Our Lady’s RC High School in Royton. The merged school was originally based over the two former school sites, but moved to a new building.
