Capital City Academy are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Facilities Multi-trade Operative with a passion for continuous career development and in attaining high standards of premises maintenance. 

The facilities team has been outsourced in the past to external contractors.  Our revised strategy is to build a professional, supportive, friendly and self-sufficient in-house facilities team.  You will be a key member of the new team, led by a Facilities Manager, who will support you in working with a variety of contractors in delivering various services and undertaking basic repairs and in-house set ups for academic events. 

The successful candidate will be qualified in a trade and support us in bringing about financial efficiencies to the facilities management function.  They will share the school’s vision and the belief that Capital City Academy will provide an exceptional environment to promote a passion for learning and discovery, enabling all learners to succeed. 

You will be:

  • a (part-qualified) tradesman in electrical engineering, plumbing or carpentry
  • have the capacity to learn and develop additional skills in the role
  • passionate about customer service 
  • desire to take pride in our high specification building designed by Forster and Partners 
  • equipped to support the team in delivering a strong facilities maintenance function.
  • a good communicator, with self-management and good organisational skills
  • committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
