(Executive Leadership Role)
L8 – 12 (salary negotiable)
Required for a September 2020 start
We are looking to appoint an exceptional Teacher of English to join our Executive Leadership Group as Faculty Leader in Charge of the English Department. We are a flourishing and expanding school. With a Progress 8 score of +0.58 which places us in the top percentage of schools in the country, we are well above national average on all performance measures. We are looking to appoint a colleague who has a proven track record of raising standards in English and who can demonstrate inspirational teaching and a passion for delivering lessons which are motivational, challenging and engaging. You will need to demonstrate the energy, enthusiasm and commitment to work as part of a team which is determined to achieve ‘outstanding’. In return you will work in an exceptional and supportive environment that will further develop your professional skills and ambitions. The role of the Head of English is ideal for a colleague who has successful experience of leadership of a group of staff and is now ready to develop their leadership skills across a wider curriculum. This is an exciting position and a good stepping stone for Senior Leadership.
We would welcome applications from colleagues at a relatively early stage of their career who have exceptional subject knowledge, strong leadership potential and a clear understanding of how to enable all students to make outstanding progress in their learning.
