Located in the town of Mossley, Greater Manchester, Mossley Hollins High School is a co-educational secondary school with around 800 pupils aged 11-16. This makes it smaller than the average school of its type, with an economically diverse student intake. Founded in the 1960s, the school has seen extensive redevelopment and modernisation over the years, with the most recent buildings being opened in 2011.The school works closely with a number of other institutions in the local area, to provide better outcome for its pupils, although Mossley Hollins is a community school rather than an academy.
